Risk Disclosure Policy
Please read this carefully. It explains the main risks of investing with keystone-io.
01 Market risk
The value of investments rises and falls with financial markets. Prices can move quickly and unpredictably, and you may get back less than you invested.
02 Leverage risk
Our standard portfolios do not use leverage. Where a leveraged or margin-based product is offered, gains and losses are magnified and losses can exceed the amount initially invested. Such products are available only to clients assessed as suitable.
03 Liquidity risk
In some market conditions certain investments may be hard to buy or sell quickly, or only at a price significantly different from the last quoted price. This can affect how quickly withdrawals can be funded.
04 Political and economic risk
Elections, conflicts, sanctions, interest-rate decisions, inflation and other economic events can cause sudden market movements. International investments also carry currency risk, where exchange-rate changes affect the value of your holdings.
05 Technology risk
Our platform relies on software, networks and third-party systems. Outages, cyber-attacks or technical failures could delay access to your account or the execution of instructions. We maintain backups and security controls to reduce, but not eliminate, this risk.
06 Regulatory risk
Changes in laws, tax rules or regulation in any jurisdiction may affect the products available to you, how they are taxed or the conditions under which they are offered.
07 Counterparty risk
Investments depend on the financial soundness of custodians, issuers, banks and other institutions. Client assets are held in segregated accounts with regulated custodians to reduce the impact of any single institution failing.
08 Your risk awareness
Before investing, make sure you understand the products in your portfolio, your time horizon and how much risk you can afford to take. Only invest money you will not need in the short term, and diversify.
09 Independent advice
If you are unsure whether an investment is suitable for you, we encourage you to seek independent financial, tax or legal advice.
10 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, keystone-io is not liable for losses resulting from market movements, from temporary unavailability of the website or platform, or from events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in this policy limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11 Client acknowledgement
By opening an account you confirm that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure Policy and accept that the value of your investments may fall as well as rise.
